പാലോട് ഫോറസ്റ്റ് റേഞ്ച് ഓഫീസിന് സമീപം മീൻ ലോറിയും ബൈക്കും കൂട്ടിയിടിച്ച് യുവാവിന് ദാരുണാന്ത്യം. നന്ദിയോട് കള്ളിപ്പാറ സ്വദേശി അനന്തുവാണ് (24) മരിച്ചത്.
പാലോട് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ജിമ്മിലെ ട്രെയിനറായിരുന്നു അനന്തു. പരിശീലനം കഴിഞ്ഞ് രാവിലെ 8:45-ഓടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് അപകടമുണ്ടായത്.
അനന്തു സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബൈക്കിൽ, നന്ദിയോട് നിന്ന് പാലോട്ടേക്ക് അമിത വേഗതയിൽ മീൻ കയറ്റി വന്ന മിനി ലോറി ഇടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് വെച്ച് തന്നെ അനന്തു മരിച്ചു. പാലോട്ടെ ഒരു മൊബൈൽ ഷോപ്പിലെ ജീവനക്കാരൻ കൂടിയായിരുന്നു ഇദ്ദേഹം. മീൻ ലോറിയും ഡ്രൈവറെയും പാലോട് പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തു.
